The Young Professionals of the Coastal Bend (YPCB) proudly announced the 2025 Corpus Christi Under 40 (CCU40) honorees during an event held on Wednesday, June 11 at the American Bank Center. The evening featured a Mayoral Proclamation and heartfelt remarks from Rosaura Bailey, Co-Founder of CCU40 and Director of Community Relations at the Port of Corpus Christi, highlighting the impact of young professionals in shaping the region’s future.
This year marked a record-breaking number of nominations, with over 160 applications submitted—a true testament to the remarkable talent and leadership emerging across the Coastal Bend. From these nominations, a scoring committee composed of past honorees and respected community stakeholders selected 37 exemplary individuals to receive this prestigious honor.
The 2025 CCU40 honorees represent a diverse range of trades, including education, marketing, law, industry, healthcare, and nonprofit leadership. Among them are veterans, entrepreneurs, civic leaders, and advocates who consistently go above and beyond to improve their professions and their communities. These honorees are not only advancing their fields but also giving back—serving as mentors, volunteers, and champions for a stronger Corpus Christi.
In a special surprise announcement at the event, YPCB also recognized Debbie “The Flash” Noble as its 2024 Superhero. Widely admired for her tireless dedication to documenting community events and promoting Corpus Christi culture, Noble was unable to attend last year’s celebration. The organization was thrilled to honor her this year for her unmistakable presence and passion throughout the region. The 2025 Superhero will be announced at a YPCB event in July.
“The CCU40 celebration is more than just an awards event—it’s a reflection of our community’s future,” said Lexi Buquet, YPCB Executive Director. “These honorees are not only excelling professionally but also helping make Corpus Christi a better place to live, work, and thrive.”
To honor the 37 recipients and the 2025 Superhero, the official Corpus Christi Under 40 Brunch Celebration presented by Port of Corpus Christi will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, August 15 at the American Bank Center. Tickets and sponsorships are now available here. The event serves as YPCB’s signature fundraiser, supporting the organization’s mission to empower young professionals through continued development, networking, and service.
ABOUT CORPUS CHRISTI UNDER 40
Created in 2006 by Rosaura Bailey and Elisa Fogle, CCU40 is dedicated to not only recognizing outstanding Corpus Christi citizens but also for the betterment of our community. CCU40 is an event honoring the accomplishments of individuals under 40 years of age who have made significant contributions in their professional fields as well as through service in the community. The event not only raises awareness of our young professional community but is also the main fundraiser for YPCB raising funds for continued professional development and networking opportunities to its 100+ members.
Each year individuals are awarded recognition through a nomination and scoring process by a YPCB Board selected committee comprised of past CCU40 honorees, community stakeholders, and YPCB members. In addition, one of these persons is honored as the “YPCB Superhero.” The YPCB Superhero is a local professional of any age who has gone above and beyond to make an impact in this community. The YPCB Board of Directors will consider the following criteria when selecting a Superhero:
Service to the Coastal Bend area
Outstanding achievements impacting an area of the community or a specific segment of the community
Long-standing support of YPCB whether as a Board Member, volunteerism, or a financial supporter
Exhibits true leadership
