We are looking for members to take the next step and choose a role on the Board that best suits their skills and interests. Please review the positions below. leadership roles

PRESIDENT: Acts as the chairman of the board and supervises the board of directors. The president shall also have other powers and duties as customarily belonging to the office of president.

PRESIDENT-ELECT: Assists the president and acts as the liaison between committees and the president. The president-elect automatically serves as the next year’s president.

PAST PRESIDENT: Serves as an advisor for the current president to ensure a smooth transition in leadership. The past president will also serve the board in other transitional affairs (aka affiliation agreements, by-law changes, bank account holdings).

TREASURER: Oversees monetary transactions, works with Executive Directors to prepare and maintain annual budget, balance the budget and all accounts as necessary. Prepares and presents monthly Treasurer Reports.

SECRETARY: Records all proceedings of members and directors. Keeps order at Board Meetings and assists with organization of meetings and events. Manages and writes the monthly newsletter—tracks corporate sponsorships and fulfillment.

MARKETING CHAIR: Creates and maintains publications and marketing for YPCB. Manages marketing committee and ensures coordination between committee and other Chairs.

PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT/ SPEAKER SERIES CHAIR: Plans events dedicated to educating YPBC members and the community about important issues, new ideas, and exciting current events throughout the Coastal Bend Plans and improving professional knowledge, competence, skills, and effectiveness for everyday purposes and career development.

COMMUNITY SERVICE CHAIR: Partners with local non-profits to make a positive impact on the community. Serves as a resource for gathering volunteers for community organizations and events where YPCB members can be of service. Plans annual Volunteer-a-thon event.

SOCIAL CHAIR: Plans social events for members to gather and get to know other Young Professionals.

MEMBERSHIP CHAIR: Manages current members and oversees new membership and renewal efforts.
