Each year, the Young Professionals of the Coastal Bend (YPCB) carefully selects an individual who has made a lasting, powerful impact on the community to be honored in a celebration fit for a true superhero. There is one exceptional person who has truly given Corpus Christi a power gain in terms of entertainment, quality of life, arts, and charity.

With electric enthusiasm, we announce the YPCB 2023 Superhero is…
Casey Lain: The Amplifier.

Since opening House of Rock 18 years ago, Casey Lain has been the ultimate power supply in Downtown Corpus Christi, bringing live music and events on the daily and passionately advocating for local musicians and artists. The magnitude at which Casey gives his time and talent to this community extends beyond downtown with the countless organizations he has supported at every opportunity. Casey is encouraging to all who express new ideas attempting to make a change for the better. He truly deepens the meaning of giving back and heightens the value of our community.

After the long and grueling 1/2 kilometer journey, runners arrive at the finish line at BUS to celebrate completing the pinnacle test of a human's physical abilities.
