Visit Corpus Christi is a 501c6 Destination Management Organization contracted by the city of Corpus Christi with a mission to strengthen our community by sharing Corpus Christi with the world. The organization is primarily funded through Hotel Occupancy Tax (HOT) paid by visitors while staying overnight in hotels and short-term rentals.

Visit Corpus Christi also has a non-profit foundation that supports the hospitality and tourism industry via education programs, raising and providing funding to individuals and businesses during times of need through the Visit CC Cares program.

Corpus Christi Regional Economic Development Center

The Corpus Christi Regional Economic Development Corporation is a non-profit organization responsible for creating, managing and supervising programs and activities that promote, assist, and enhance economic development within the city of Corpus Christi. The CCREDC’s partners include the city of Corpus Christi, the Port of Corpus Christi Authority and over 180 private-sector members. The CCREDC is governed by a 25-member Board of Directors whose members are appointed by the city, port and membership.

Texas Workforce Solutions

Workforce Solutions of the Coastal Bend supports an employer-driven, integrated system that consolidates employment, job training, and work-related services. We operate nine Career Centers focused on investing in our regional economic success through access to jobs, training, and employer services.

We meet our mission by collaborating with industry, education, economic development and labor to develop a comprehensive regional workforce strategic plan; develop a trainable and available workforce, and provide workforce-relevant educational training opportunities for youth. Through the Texas Workforce Commission, we track occupational/industry shifts and update employment information.

The United Corpus Christi Chamber of Commerce is an 1100 member organization representing business in the Coastal Bend region of South Texas. A 31 member Board of Directors forms the policy level of the organization. The President/CEO and a dedicated team of 8 full time and 2 part term interns manage the operations and daily work of the Chamber. Additionally we have a 501c3 supporting organization, The United Corpus Christi Chamber Foundation which operates programs devoted to leadership, education and workforce development. Our members and volunteers represent a cross section of all types and sizes of business in our community.

The Corpus Christi Downtown Management District (DMD) is the organization that manages the Marina Arts District. DMD, established in 1993, is a professional Downtown Management District representing property owners and stakeholders within the area. Additionally, the DMD also services the Tax Increment Revitalization Zone #3. The Downtown Management District is responsible for providing enhanced cleaning, beautification and safety services, develop and improve the district, market and promote the district, events and businesses and address critical issues that affect the success of the District and greater Downtown area on behalf of our stakeholders and the community.

Del Mar College Corporate Services


The Del Mar College Procurement Technical Assistance Center (PTAC) is Funded in part through a cooperative agreement with the Defense Logistics Agency. The goal of the PTAC program is to assist any size business interested in pursuing Federal, State, or Local government contracts. Del Mar College PTAC offers no-cost confidential advising on all things related to government contracting. Our center provides over 50 training events per year and coordinates networking events with contracting officials. PTAC advisors provide assistance in the following areas; business registrations, business certifications, interpretation of bid documents, proposal review assistance, electronic invoicing in iRAPT (formerly Wide Area Workflow WAWF), and houses a fully functionally internal Plan Room.

Procurement Technical Assistance Center


The Del Mar College Small Business Development Center (SBDC) is a grant-funded, non-profit organization developed specifically to assist small businesses and entrepreneurs in realizing their dreams. Our mission is to foster small business success. By working with hundreds of entrepreneurs every year, the SBDC has a clear perspective of the obstacles that small businesses must overcome in order to succeed. We offer no-cost, one-on-one, confidential business advising as well as over 100 business related seminars/workshops a year. Our advisors are here to help through the life of a small business; from start, to expansions, to successions. Areas of assistance include: guidance with writing business plans, business loan information, assistance with projections, and much more.
